Welcome to the official site of AA40, the Italian below-40 arbitration group under the auspices of AIA and ArbIt.

“AA40” (short for AIA-ArbIt-40) is the association for young professionals, academics and students interested in arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms with a connection to Italy.

The goal of AA40 is to provide the future generation of Italian and Italy-friendly lawyers with a forum where to meet, network, and exchange ideas and professional experiences.

The group was created under the auspices of both AIA and ArbIt, the two main Italian associations promoting arbitration and ADR culture in Italy.

Becoming a member of AA40 does not preclude any interested individual from full membership of AIA and/or ArbIt, or participation in events and initiatives organized by the senior associations. Rather, AA40’s strength comes from the support of AIA and ArbIt and their complementary role .

AA40 membership is free of charge – the only requirement is to be under the age of 40 when joining the association.

AA40 is based on principles of transparency, independence, inclusiveness, and diversity (including, but not limited to, gender and regional diversity). AA40 is a signatory of the Arbitration Pledge (Equal Representation in Arbitration).
